1970–1979: The Beginning
The history of EcoProof begins in 1970, in the heart of Switzerland — a country always associated with purity, order, and precision.
A group of young scientist enthusiasts — ecologists and chemists — united around the idea of creating a laboratory capable of independently assessing the impact of anthropogenic factors on the environment.
At that time, environmental science was actively developing as a separate discipline, and EcoProof was among the ecological activists of this movement in Europe.
The team was engaged in the analysis of water, air, and soil according to modern measurement standards and systematized data.
Over the decades, the laboratory collaborated with many European universities.

1980–1989: Building a Reputation
In the 1980s, EcoProof participated in large-scale environmental studies following the pollution of the Rhine River near Basel — one of the largest industrial disasters in Western Europe.
The team conducted independent measurements of water quality and bottom sediments, implementing the latest control methods, which at that time became the standard for similar studies in the EU.
1986: International Recognition
In 1986, after the Chernobyl disaster, EcoProof specialists joined the international team that conducted radiation monitoring in Central and Western Europe.
This work brought international recognition to the laboratory: for the first time, a Swiss private team gained the trust of government agencies and scientific institutes of various countries.
It was during this period that EcoProof's reputation as a reliable partner in environmental crisis situations was formed.

1990–2009: European Expansion
After gaining recognition in the scientific community, EcoProof entered a new stage — international cooperation.
In the 1990s, the laboratory opened partner offices in Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic, actively participating in soil remediation and drinking water monitoring programs as part of numerous European initiatives.
2010–2024: Technological Advancement
In the 2010s, EcoProof focused on implementing digital monitoring technologies, transitioning from classical laboratory analyses to real-time data collection using sensor systems.
The company participates in climate change monitoring projects, urban air quality assessment, and rural soil condition monitoring.
EcoProof also creates training programs for environmental engineers and serves as a consultant for many non-governmental environmental organizations in Switzerland.
